About Street Lamps
Street Lamps is an organization focused on the betterment of humanity through improved mental health. We believe meaningful societal changes begins within each of us. Street Lamps was founded by Cody Plant, LCSW, LCDC. Presently, we offer telehealth psychotherapy for individuals, couples and families in the state of Texas. We rely on a variety of modalities to aid those with whom we work in the achievement of continual contentment.
Cody Plant, LCSW, LCDC
Education & Expertise
Cody Plant is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor with interdisciplinary training in psychology, social work, and religion. He is currently a graduate student at Harvard Divinity School, where his studies focus on theology, meaning-making, human flourishing, and the intersection of faith and mental health. He earned his Master of Social Work from the Columbia University School of Social Work through its specialized program in partnership with the New York State Psychiatric Institute (NYSPI), with advanced training in psychoeducation and evidence-based mental health treatment. Cody earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The Honors College at the University of Houston, graduating summa cum laude and earning Honors in Major for his independent research examining social media use, attention-seeking behavior, and psychological well-being. His academic background informs a therapeutic approach that is intellectually rigorous, deeply compassionate, and grounded in both scientific evidence and the complexities of the human experience.

Experience
Over the course of his clinical career, Cody has worked extensively throughout the Houston area as an individual, group, and family therapist, providing care across a wide range of treatment settings and levels of acuity. His experience includes serving as a Clinical Social Worker and Chemical Dependency Counselor, facilitating psychoeducational groups, and leading Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Intensive Outpatient Programs (IOP) for individuals struggling with emotional dysregulation, mood disorders, trauma, substance use, and interpersonal difficulties. Cody has worked with adolescents, adults, families, and diverse populations from a variety of cultural, socioeconomic, and religious backgrounds. His therapeutic approach is trauma-informed, culturally responsive, and grounded in the belief that healing occurs through a combination of evidence-based treatment, authentic connection, and a deep respect for each person's unique life story.
